Fortify yourself with this raw vegan garlic butter this Halloween, and nobody will come within miles of you. For weeks. It's a delicious vegan alternative to garlic butter, that’s made entirely from unprocessed foods.
This hearty green salad with avocado and mushroom satisfies both your tastebuds and your tum. And there's no rice, no quinoa, no couscous, no pasta. Just heaps of delicious fresh veggies. Just what your body ordered.
This raw kelp noodle chili salad is a quick, easy and delicious way to start using kelp noodles. It takes barely 10 minutes to pull together, it's amazingly low in fat and yet it's also incredibly tasty and satisfying. Yum.
This high raw rice salad is based around cooked rice and packed full of raw veggies, so it's satisfying, healthy and bursting with flavour and nutrition. You'd be proud to take this salad to your next potluck or function because healthy or not, it tastes absolutely fantastic.
Rich, moist, crumbly raw chocolate cake, smothered in creamy avocado chocolate frosting. Decorated magnificently with homemade coconut rainbow sprinkles. Bring this masterpiece out at a birthday party and knock their socks off!
I realised that I could take any salad I make, and wrap it in rice paper for a perfectly portable, self-contained lunch. These ones were filled with chili chickpea spread and topped with rocket (arugula), avocado, cherry tomatoes and marinated mushrooms.
I made Ani Phyo's raw tomato chili with walnut taco meat the other night, and I must say it was rather delicious. A great winter meal, especially if you blend it until it warms up, and serve it in pre-warmed chunky ceramic bowls. Mmmmmmmm, toasty warm :)
I had a go at making raw mushroom soup for dinner the other night. I mostly followed This Rawsome Vegan Life's recipe for creamy mushroom soup with avocado and miso, but made lots of alterations along the way. It was warm and tasty and strangely filling for something so light and almost mousse-y.
Raw taco salad #2, this time with a different taco "meat" recipe - fresh roquette (arugula), walnut taco meat, avocado frog dip, chopped tomatoes, macadamia sour cream, and chopped spring (green) onions.
I love the simplicity of this basil mustard salad. The tang of the mustard, the wonderful aromatics in the basil, the creaminess of the avocado and the chunks of tomato just do it for me. And it’s the kind of thing you can make up on the spot for lunch in less than 10 minutes.
If you're looking for a dairy free, nut-free yoghurt alternative, give my avocado banana yoghurt recipe a try. And although it does look a bit like avocado snot, I promise that it tastes like a tangy, sweet banana and vanilla yoghurt.
This Mexican salad with coriander and macadamias is anything but boring. With a colourful rainbow of ingredients, it looks and tastes pretty darn amazing. And it's so filling that there's no going hungry when you've got Mexican salad on the menu.
This would have to be my favourite green smoothie of all time. Which is weird, because kale can taste pretty horrible in smoothies, especially if you have my knack for odd flavour combinations. Not only does the kale taste good in this smoothie, but it tastes so awesome that it's my favourite green smoothie ever.
